Calling all people pleasers, do-gooders, and non-delegators!!
Daring to set boundaries is about having the courage to love ourselves, even when we risk disappointing others ~ Brené Brown
The last line of this quote may be a hard pill to swallow, but it will be your saving grace. Mindful leaders (including YOU) know the benefits of breaks, boundaries, and balance.
Your time is a precious commodity and you get to choose how to spend it. Cultivating your skills in setting healthy boundaries will give you more freedom.
Every time you say no to someone else, you’re opening a yes to yourself.
Every time you create and hold a boundary around your time, you are declaring your value.
Give away for the Day – Become a Badass with Boundaries
- Answer this: What are you saying yes to that takes away time you have to connect with yourself?
- Try this: Go to your calendar and block out time for yourself every day to do something that brings you joy, ease, or comfort. If someone wants your attention during this time, give them a compassionate, firm “NO.”
- Remember this: The most important relationship is the one you have with yourself. When you take care of yourself, you thrive and everyone in your life will benefit.
Self-attention is not selfish.
These small actions add up to huge shifts and possibilities. You don’t have to do it alone! If setting boundaries is challenging or feels downright impossible for you, I can help. I invite you to reclaim your freedom and call me for a discovery session today.
